Just as with previous releases, this update is available both in the public cloud and customer-hosted, running on-premises or in a private cloud. This is perfect for highly secure environments, where it can run 100% isolated from the public internet. For regulated industries and organizations handling sensitive data, this solution is ideal. It leverages the benefits of Generative AI while ensuring that no data leaves your firewall. Additionally, it features a fully isolated Large Language Model (LLM).

The new features include Creator Mode, which allows you to generate content using both customizable predefined prompts. It also supports one-time prompts tailored to your specific needs. An advanced scoring system evaluates document quality in real-time, providing feedback to improve readability.
Additionally, VT Writer’s enhanced capabilities simplify text rephrasing and analysis. The Microsoft Word Add-in allows users to use these tools within familiar environments, further streamlining your workflows.
Blending Generative AI and Deterministic Software
We use a blend of Generative AI and deterministic software in VT Writer to achieve optimal results. In Creator Mode, the Gen AI provides answers based on the Large Language Model’s (LLM) predictions and probabilities. Users determine which answers best suit their needs. As with all Gen AI systems, you need to factor potential hallucinations. This is when a Gen AI system provides inaccurate answers, an inherent issue with every Gen AI system.
This is why we also have Scoring Mode which uses a deterministic approach to scoring content for grade level etc. This guarantees 100% accuracy and repeatability. This mode does not use Gen AI ensuring no hallucinations and consistent, reliable results. This dual approach means that users benefit from the flexibility and creativity of Gen AI. At the same time, they maintain the precision and reliability of deterministic software.
Specific New Capability
Visi – our Gen AI Writing Assistant, helps users create and refine content effortlessly using predefined prompts or custom queries. The integration of Visi enables seamless content creation and refinement through predefined prompts or custom queries.
100% Secure LLM, swappable LLM: Out of the box, Visi used Meta’s Llama 3 (or latest update) LLM. However, you can also configure VT Writer to use your own LLM of choicer.
Creator Mode this new view offers a user-friendly interface for generating new content from predefined or custom prompts.
“Selection based” and “Document based” prompts. You can use “selection-based” prompts to act on a specific piece of selected text. Alternatively, “document-based” prompts can be used to work with the entire document. For example, “proofread this selection” or “summarize this document.” Users can quickly generate drafts tailored to their specific needs, significantly improving productivity.
Customizable Prompts allows administrators configure specific AI prompts tailored for specific team needs. This means that users speed their time to productivity. Since they do not have to learn specific prompts. Another key advantage is that they will guide and educate you if you are not familiar with Gen AI models. You can also set up your customized prompts to have parameters, helping user fill in the gaps.
Simplify and Rephrasing in Scoring Mode: Users can score their content in real-time, flagging areas for improvement. If specific paragraphs show as too complex, in one-click you can ask Gen AI to offer simplification or rephrasing options. You then choose which one suits your needs.
The Microsoft Word Add-in simplifies text analysis and applies prompts directly within Microsoft Word. This seamless integration enhances usability, enabling users to access the features within a familiar environment and simplify content creation.
